Schnuck’s ‘ades’ paramedics, first responders

Using a creative way to give back to the community, Schnuck’s Market, located at 942 Valley Creek Drive in Farmington, organized a customer-supported Powerade Drive that ran from March 20-April 5.

The drive, held by the store in partnership with the Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Co., encouraged customers to donate a single bottle of Powerade hydration beverages to help keep local paramedics and first responders hydrated during peak hot weather periods. Over the course of the drive period, customers and teammates raised a total donation of more than 800 bottles.

The bottles — enough for donation to 14 departments — will be distributed to local first responders by Schnuck’s.

Schnuck's Market employees drop off cases of Powerade hydration beverages to St. Francois County Ambulance District's Maintenance Facility House #4. The bottles were collected during a customer-supported Powerade Drive that ran from March 20-April 5 in partnership with the Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Co.
